Castaway Computers, Inc is a newly formed, Milwaukee-based, nonprofit corporation. We accept donated computer equipment and software from companies, refurbish the equipment, load available software, and upgrade the equipment. Castaway donates the computers to individuals, families, schools, charities, and agencies including religious, scouting, genealogical, historical, and other nonprofit entities.

Castaway was organized and is operated exclusively for charitable, educational, and/or scientific purposes. Castaway volunteers perform all tasks related to acquiring, refurbishing, and donating computers. All individuals involved with the corporation and its activities are volunteers.

Along with providing computer equipment for those that otherwise would not be able to acquire computers, Castaway provides training and volunteer opportunities related to refurbishing computers donated to others. In meeting these goals, we provide companies the opportunity to dispose of unneeded resources and, at the same time, assist others within our community by providing them with otherwise unattainable technological opportunities.
